Christen Bakke Christen Bakke was a pureblood wizard from an old and powerful Norwegian wizarding family, the Bakkes. He is the eldest of two, his younger brother being Sebastian Bakke - Matteo Cappello's biological father. During the time of Grindelwald, the Bakkes followed him loyally until his defeat at Dumbledore's hand. The family fractured then and Christen's father, Asken Bakke, was fed up with the infighting and fled Norway to set up shop in Wales. This forced Christen to transfer from Durmstrang to Hogwarts. While his brother was excited about the move, Christen was bitter. It wasn't until his sixth year when he fell in love with Karen Davis that he finally started to accept his new life.
After graduation, Christen went into the family business of jewelry-making. He married Karen shortly after. During the rise and reign of Lord Voldemort, the Bakkes followed him devotedly. After his apparent demise in 1981, Christen declared that he had been under the Imperius curse, allowing him and his wife to retain their life. Their plan was to bide their time until the Dark Lord returned. In 1984, Karen became pregnant, throwing a wrench into their plan. Christen adored his daughter, showering her with attention and calling her his 'Princess'. He taught her the importance of blood purity and described how strong of witch she'll become because of the blood running through her veins. In 1990, after years of waiting, Christen and Karen left Iola with the nanny and went off in search of the Dark Lord themselves. They would never return.
Karen Davis Bakke Karen Davis was a half-blood, almost pure but not quite. Her great-great grandmother, Edith Davis, married a muggle man and gave birth to three children. This was a stain on the family history and it took two generations for those Davis' to be allowed back into the family. She was an only child, her father a pureblooded wizard who died before she was born. She never knew his name as her mother refused to speak of him. Karen grew up in a lonely household, looking for love wherever she could find it. It was her sixth year that she finally found it in one Christen Bakke. The two were inseparable and Karen had developed a strong loyalty to the Bakkes and their legacy. She followed her husband in following Lord Voldemort, and went with him to search for him almost ten years after the Dark Lord's apparent demise.

Bryant Tannen & Iola Walker Iola lifted her hand, cupping his face. “But you’re not alone, Bryant,” A small smile crinkled her eyes that shined with tears. “You have me.” And without a second to rethink her decision, Iola leaned forward slowly. The tension between them was almost tangible. Her mouth opened slightly as she got closer to his face, pressing her lips to his. When the two of them first kissed, it was quick and rushed and scared Iola to death. But this kiss was different. It was pure. Her lips melted against his. Yes, Iola was scared, but it was a different kind of fear this time. The fear you get before jumping. Now, she made the leap, but still didn’t know the consequences of it. And I’m pretty sure she didn’t give a damn.

NYLE ATWELL & IOLA WALKER Since the day they parted ways Iola has felt this deep ache inside her, a loneliness she couldn’t quite place. But here - with his strong hands gently squeezing her shoulders and the feeling of his quickening heartbeat under her touch, that gaping hole no longer ached inside her. Instead, it filled with the warmth of a summer day as he grasped her chin, tilting her face toward him and leaned in to press his lips to hers. As it always did whenever he kissed her, Iola’s heart raced in her chest, the feeling of a million butterflies fluttering in her stomach and she felt a tingling sensation run up her body. She basked in the kiss, brief as it was. It was the first contact their lips have made since the caves…
