R&R was over and it was time for some Quidditch practice. Nate was looking forward to it. No better way to let off some steam after the week he’s had. It’s not that he’s had a bad week or whatever, it’s just… tiring sometimes to be him. He had a reputation that he had to keep up with, even if he didn’t really want to. He thought of people like Ari, Emilia, and Georgie that kept themselves at a distance from him. He didn’t necessarily want that, but what’s he to do? If he starts acting differently, then everyone will be like ‘What the hell, Nate?’
He headed down to the pitch, broom and beater bat in hand, taking in the crisp March air. Gods, it was March. Could you believe that? Soon, the weather will get warmer and Quidditch will be over. But hey, at least he’ll be able to lounge on the grounds or go for a quick swim if he really wanted to.
Nate reached the pitch and mounted his broom. Looks like he was the first to arrive. That’s fine, he needed a little alone time flying around. To clear his head. To feel something, he guessed. Kicking off, he flew to the middle of the pitch, doing a few laps before more people showed up.

Ah, quidditch.
The only constant in Willie's hectic life. Big smile on her face, the seventh year was making her way to the pitch. She was in the best of spirits. Her parents had owled her, letting her know they had finalized the plans for the house Willie wanted built out in Dorset. So by graduation, it should be move in ready. She'd have her privacy and be close enough to the pitch for her liking.
Speaking of the pitch...
Usually Willie was the first to it and the last to leave. But it seemed like someone beat her this time. Smirk on her face, Willie watched him flying laps. He was one of her closest friends (weird that both her best friends were guys she had a history of making out with) and she liked to think she knew him well enough. And she did. She knew him well enough to know the kid had a lot on his plate lately.
Mounting her own Nimbus and kicking up, Willie chuckled. This particular broom handled so well. It might not have been the best for a chaser or beater...but for a keeper, she couldn't have asked for better. She inwardly thanked her dad's affiliation with the broom company and flew directly to the rings, perching herself on the center one as she continued to watch Nate fly his laps.

There was nothing that Catherine Prince loved more than Quidditch. It was her life! Stella often chastised the girl for spending her “rest” days on the pitch, but honestly there wasn’t anywhere else she wanted to be. Besides, for a muggleborn on a team of Quidditch stars, she need to be on the top of her game. Recruiters will be watching and she needed to make a team when she graduated. Okay, she didn’t need to. She could always become a Potioneer. It would be fulfilling and she’d enjoy it, but it wouldn’t be as exciting as playing sports. Besides, Lizzie was bound to get on the Holyhead Harpies and she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t looking forward to playing against her again.
Grabbing her new Super Nova (thanks Mum and Dad), Caty made her way down to the pitch. She was roughly ten yards away when she saw Willie and Nate flying in the air already. Damn, they beat her here? Breaking out in a job, she hurried to the pitch. Without slowing down, she mounted her broom and kicked off in one smooth movement, flying to the other two and laughing at the exhilaration of being in the air again.
“Hey, losers!” She called out when she got close. “I don’t know if Stella’s going to make it or not, she had a lot of homework to do.” Caty hovered for a moment, pulling her hair into a ponytail. “We have a Keeper, a Beater, and a Chaser. Whaddya say we go ahead and get started?”

It wasn’t long before he was joined by Willie, flying up on her trusty Nimbus to set up at the posts. Nate smiled at her, but continued to fly his laps. His Firebolt was pretty new and he was still trying to get used to the braking. Feeling like showing off, he flew straight toward Willie before flipping his broom around and drifting in the other direction. Laughter flowed out of him as he came back around.
Catherine was the next to join them. “Hey, losers!” Nate looked over at the blonde as she made her way to them. “You’re included in that, Prince,” he said with a grin. She mentioned that Stella might not make it or likely be late, which was unusual for her, but their studies have piled on since break. Caty asked if they should start. Nate looked between the two witches, seeing if either of them objected. “I’m down. Have to get the trunk out first.” He flew down to the small shed next to the stands. Soon, he was pulling out the trunk. “Should we open it?”

Georgia loved being out on the pitch. She was running a little behind - curse those delicious cupcake filling creations she'd been working on - so she hoped that Stella wouldn't be upset. She was resting like she was told, and now was the time to get back on the pitch. As she walked, her broom in hand, she saw that a few others were already on their brooms, Nate down on the ground by the shed pulling out the ball chest. She dropped her stuff nearby. "Open it! Let's go!" she called out to him, keeping her distance as she dug her heels into the ground to push off into the sky, catching up to Caty, and sending a salute to Willie. "Hello ladies!" she grinned, before adding - "that was for you, too, James."
Tightening her ponytail, she waited for the quaffle to come her way - she and Caty had a play to practice.

Casually perched on the center ring, Willie just smirked as reached for her foot to stretch her calves. Nate came zipping toward her and she rolled her eyes.
Show off.
Seeing Caty approach, Willie offered her a nod and a laugh at her greeting. She mentioned starting and Willie grinned, jumping off the ring and back onto her broom. "Oh, I'm always ready."
Nate flew down to retrieve the box and Willie watched as Georgia approached, encouraging him to open it and set the rowdy bludgers free. Willie couldn't help but smirk. It seemed like her teammates were extra spunky this year and she loved it. The brunette returned the wave and refixed her eyes on Nate, knowing if he opened it, the balls would be live. Last thing she needed to do was to get wrecked by a rogue bludger.
Willie was a damn good keeper...probably one of the best to pass through Ravenclaw house...but Georgie and Caty made a shockingly powerful duo. And with the bludgers live, Willie knew she was going to have stay alert.

“Har har har!” he called back out to Georgia before kicking open the trunk. Nate leaned over and unlocked a single bludger and grabbed the Quaffle. Mounting his broom again, he zipped up to where the rest of the team sat hovering. He threw the Quaffle to Georgia. “Let’s see what you’ve got.” Twirling his beater bat in his hand, he flashed her a wicked grin before moving away from the chasers to focus on the stray bludger.
Only, his mind wasn’t completely on Quidditch. His gaze kept sliding over to Georgia as she shot toward the sky, her hair flowing behind her. Caty was down below, waiting and watching carefully. He figured they must be trying the Porskoff Ploy. A familiar growling reached his ears and he turned quick as lightning and swung his bat, knocking the bludger away from the girls.
