HISTORY: Catherine was born in a picturesque town near Lake Windermere to Martha and John Prince, owners of a tree farm that sold christmas trees every winter. By the time her younger brother, Jensen, was born the Princes knew something was different about their baby girl. Strange things seemed to happen around, strange and unexplainable things. John and Martha spent every last dime they had taking her to different doctors trying to figure out what was happening. They got their answer on her eleventh birthday. A witch in the family! They were shocked at first, but soon came to accept the bizarre circumstances. What else could explain her powers?
It wasn’t long for her to find her place at Hogwarts. Sorted into Ravenclaw, she quickly became friends with her dorm mates and other students. She soon discovered a love and skill for potions. Magic was wonderful and Cat couldn’t get enough. Her parents bought her an owl her first year, who became her best friend. She sent letters home as often as possible, often giving Libby a break and using one of the school owls. She told her family of everything she was learning and how excited she was.
During her third year, Catherine’s parents discovered their trees were good for more than just Christmas trees. On their property were dozens of trees containing bowtruckles - wand wood. The Princes set up their own separate business for the Wizarding community, finding their own little niche in their daughter’s new world. Business blew up for them and all the galleons earned went to a vault in Gringotts for Catherine’s use.
With newfound wealth and a love for Quidditch, Catherine bought the latest model firebolt and joined the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. This lovely character is being played by Car! ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: A light, musical laugh flowed out of the diminutive girl at her friend’s reply. It was very on brand for him to stay tucked away in Ravenclaw tower while the rest of the school went to parties and balls. While Ellie certainly appreciated Silas a great deal, she was glad to see him stepping out of his comfort zone, even just a little. “Loads have been happening around the school! I’ll have to catch you up on all that’s gone on. My brothers seem to be at the root of it, too,” she added with a look of distaste written on her features.
She loved her brothers dearly, but they no longer got along. Ellie didn’t get it - they were still the same Jake and Leo to her. While the gossip about her older brother have been relatively negative - for someone so clever he really is dumb - the talk surrounding Leo was only slightly more pleasant than before. While the news of his relationship with Liv was exciting to the young Gryffindor, the rumors circling his girlfriend troubled her greatly. She couldn’t even imagine the pain her brothers and their girlfriends are going through.
Sipping quietly on her pumpkin juice, Ellie set to cleansing her mind of negative thoughts. She was here with her dear friend Silas and they were going to have a good time! Snapping her gaze back to the fourth year, Ellie smiled wide as he thanked her for her compliment. The dark gray really suited him.
As he sympathized with her regarding her poor notes, El nodded solemnly. It truly was awful! She had half a mind to find the cat’s owner and give them a proper talking to! She may be small, but her gift for charms and hexes was unmatched in her class. Ellie waved him off with an easy smile. “I didn’t want to worry you! The exam isn’t until Thursday. I’ll just have you help me study beforehand,” she said, sticking out her hand for a shake.
Ellie let out a little laugh at his description of BTS. “No, silly,” she teased. “BTS! The boy band from Slytherin! All the girls are talking about them.” A slight frown touched her features. “Before you ask, I’m not sure what it stands for,” she muttered, her gaze casting about the room once more. Both her brothers seem to be missing. Odd. “Well, I’m utterly glad you’re here or else I wouldn’t have known anybody!” This wasn’t necessarily true. Ellie knew of a lot of people attending the ball, only she was kind of avoiding them at the moment. She couldn’t bear to hear anyone else talk badly about her brothers.
