Lex cast his eyes around his club, his brow raised in amusement. It was...certainly not the typical vibe of the Den...but hey. The Ministry had rented the whole place out for the night. They could decorate any which way they wanted. He had been surprised when the Ministry had approached him...but with the issues surrounding the rise in vampire attacks and Charles working closely with the Ministry to try and resolve the issue...the entire coven had figured it would be beneficial for Lex to oblige.
It kept up appearance.
Besides...his club was still one of the most exclusive and popular around. Made since that the hoity toity and elite would want to party there.
Lex himself had even dressed up...opting for a casual suit as opposed to his usual grunge style.
He nodded at the Minister as he arrived, ushering him to his private booth. And all around them, Ministry officials, Quidditch players, influential business people, and Mungo executives were showing up. Drinks were flowing...music was playing...people were mingling and dancing.
Lex had never expected his club to host a Holiday Party...
But here they were...

A bloody holiday party. How...dull...
Mona most definitely had not wanted to come to this. But a few of the more influential business practices had been invited...and among them was Darling Enterprises. And with her new position within the company, Tommy had made it clear that he wanted her to show her face. So she had gotten dolled up...slipping into a little black dress.
And perched on a bar stool, Mona was a vision as she sipped at a glass of wine. There were more people here than she bargained for...
Wizard lawyers...officials...quidditch superstars...
This was truly a party for the elite and she breathed in sharply. Several of these men in suits had bought product from the Darlings. She recognized them from meetings with Mickey.
A few of them were approaching...making passes...and then would sulk off to look for someone else once Mona dismissed them.
This was drab. She didn't really see anyone interesting to her here.

This exclusive party was just what Liv needed. Oh, the witch had been overjoyed when she read about Vader’s arrest and all she wanted to do was celebrate. Leo was still stuck at Hogwarts otherwise she’d be celebrating with him. They had even more cause for cheer as Jules was a free man. She knew that he was probably soaking up his time with Chelsea and she wished them both well. They’ll get their reunion someday. Anyway, this party. Olivia was thankful that it wasn’t a full moon as she dressed herself in a sleek black dress. The Vampire Den was a favorite of hers and it was really nice to see the Ministry supporting creatures. Orpheus Biggerstaff was a great Minister and she was excited to see what he does next. The reports of werewolves and vampires multiplying like rabbits were concerning, but the Minister assured the public he was working on it. Liv was worried about it. Many in the wizarding community were raving mad, leaving horrible comments for the Prophet to print. It left a bad taste in her mouth. Regardless, the Ministry choosing the Den as a party venue was the gesture of goodwill she’d been hoping to see.
Before long, she was walking up the steps to the VIP area, her heels clicking against the floor. She stood for a moment, scanning the room to see if there was anyone she recognized. Of course, her hazel eyes would land on her mother and father, chatting it up with some real VIPs. Olivia gritted her teeth, casting her gaze elsewhere to stop herself from getting too angry. When they landed on a pretty, familiar face, she relaxed. Ari and Liv had never really spoken to each other during school, but they played against each other then and now. She seemed alone, too, which helped put the pep in her step. Liv crossed the floor, heading to the bar where she saw her rival. “One cosmo, please,” she said as she approached, setting her handbag on the counter. “And I’ll go ahead and buy her next round, too.” Liv tossed a few galleons to the bartender and turned in her seat to face Ariadne. “Liv,” she introduced herself, holding out a hand. “I don’t think we’ve officially met.”

An exclusive holiday party. Ari never thought of herself as the type to be invited to such an event, yet here she was, lacing up her last strappy high heel before leaving the apartment. She waved bye to Gen before heading out the door. As she made her way to the Den, she hoped that Dan and Gus would be there. Her roommate was still on the fence but she hoped that she wasn't going to be the only team newbie at this party. Surely this accidentally found it's way to her, it was most likely meant for one of the more senior members on the team.
She smoothed down her dress as she stood at the Den's entrance, she could hear the music from outside and pushed open the doors. Immediately she saw Evelyn Brown. Ari ducked behind a plant and moved around to the other end of the bar. Yes, her and Daniel had broken up but Ari still felt guilty about having harbored secret feelings for Daniel, much longer than she cared to admit. Now that the Daily Prophet was circling rumors about the pair being an item, she really just wanted to avoid any drama tonight. She ordered a glass of champagne that disappeared a little too quickly.
Thankfully a familiar voice came to her rescue. Oliva Moretti. Ari tossed the raven haired beauty a smile as she took the refill Liv had paid for graciously. "Thank you. Yes, I remember you from school. I'm Ariadne." She was relieved that she wasn't the only newbie quidditch star at this soiree.

All the Quidditch players got an invitation to what had to be the swankiest party Cat had ever gone to. She supposed when you’re a professional player you were in the limelight and with that came some definite perks. Drawbacks, too, of course. Like how after every practice there was a crowd of witches and wizards screaming their disapproval at her teammate Liv. And then there were the reporters coming for interviews. Caty was a little tired of giving her opinion on the rights of creatures. But! Tonight the Ministry was hosting an exclusive party and Lizzie, to her surprise, said they should go. Cat had been fully prepared to miss out and spend the evening at home with her girlfriend, but she couldn’t deny she had been dying to go. When Liz proposed it, she couldn’t help the excited squeal that flowed out of her. She knew exactly what she was going to wear, too.
Caty held on tight to Lizzie’s hand as they entered the VIP area of the Den, giving it a quick squeeze as she looked around for familiar faces. She saw Olivia with Ari by the bar along with Evelyn and Lex. Evie looked so beautiful in the dress she got her. Cat was glad she was taking fashion seriously now. She looked back to her girlfriend, offering a small smile. “You sure about this? We can leave at any time.”

The invitation had landed on her desk a few days ago and she had stared at it long and hard, trying to figure out if it was worth going. Molly wasn't really in a party mood after what had happened recently with her work. The blonde had been bottling everything up about the whole Tommy situation that maybe a night out would be nice. Her partner and sometimes fake boyfriend, Abe, was going through something similar and she had meant to have a chat with him but ...life was just so busy lately that she hadn't found the time.
Sliding on her red dress, Molly touched up her hair before apparating to the Vampire Den. She hoped Charlie would be here tonight, she hadn't seen her best friend since the fiasco of a wedding almost a year ago. Stepping into the club, it was loud. Molly saw big wigs talking in corners opposite couples finding a small space to do anything but talk. Heading for the hub of the club, the bar was bustling with people and she barely squeezed in to grab an espresso martini before retreating to a quieter section to avoid spilling her drink.
Molly was a whole drink in and had a nice burst of energy now. She ventured out to the dance floor and began to sway and dance along to the beat, contemplating what she should drink next...champagne? another cocktail? The night was young and Molly Walker was planning on getting Merry Walker drunk.

Okay, so, Kit hadn't initially planned on going to the holiday party. But Alvin had made a solid point about drinking on Shacklebolt's tab and that they'd go shopping together, and then it was set. She and Alice were going to meet him there, since, as the joke had been made many times before, Cody had to go to every event with both of his girlfriends. And yes, it was fun, but Kit also felt like a third wheel, and that she was particularly annoying when the couple just wanted to be. Especially now, since they were getting married so soon. When they arrived at the Den, Kit nodded toward the bar first. Champagne sounded good - she hadn't really had a chance to celebrate with Cody and Alice since they announced their engagement and honestly she wasn't even sure if Alice had told Alvin. But either way - she couldn't wait to see Al so they could get their drinking game started. At least...until Ava showed up. Then she'd be on her own. Sitting on a barstool, she looked over who had already shown - wondering if she could make a new friend or...Mona! she would one hundred percent be making her way over to Mona-Lisa at some point through the evening. outfit

Lizzie had been sitting at the table looking over the invites to the holiday party being hosted at Lex Caius' club this year and...no part of her wanted to go. But try as Caty had to conceal it, Lizzie knew her girlfriend wanted to go. And Caty had been doing so much for her recently that Lizzie knew she needed to do this for her. So she had casually mentioned over dinner that they should do it. They should go.
So here they were.
Dressed in all black with a bit of Caty class to it, Lizzie held onto her girlfriend's hand as they ascended the stairs to the party. It was in full swing and there were people everywhere. Business men cavorting...Quidditch stars schmoozing and posing for photos...plenty of people on the dance floor. She recognized Vesper...a wizard from Caty's year and house who had more makeup skills than Liz ever would...behind the bar whipping up drinks like it was nothing. She noticed Nico and a few others working the floor and taking orders and as Nico passed them by, he stopped with smiles to give them both a hug before shuffling off.
And for a moment...things felt okay.
Perhaps this was good. Lizzie needed to get back into the world and show everyone that she wasn't going to let the likes of Vadellia Allman ruin her.
You sure about this? We can leave at any time.
Lizzie offered Caty a small smile and just nodded. She was okay for now. And Caty deserved a fun night out. Besides...at one point, Lizzie had been the party queen.

Less than forty eight hours after being released from prison, Tommy was getting ready for a party. He smirked as he looked in the mirror, making sure every hair was perfectly in place.
Tossing his jacket on to complete his outfit, Tommy apparated out and to the club.
Walking in, Tommy felt heads turn to look at him. It wasn’t uncommon. But this was for a different reason. The news story of his acquittal and release wouldn’t be published until the morning.
But Tommy was a free man and Mickey’s death was officially deemed an act of self defense.
At the bar, Tommy grabbed himself a glass of firewhiskey on the rocks. And as he sipped at it, his eyes swept the crowd. They landed on a pretty head of blonde hair and Tommy smirked before downing his drink swiftly and making his way to the dance floor.
Stopping behind her, Tommy cleared his throat, leaning in to speak to Molly from behind.
”Nice to see you again, Miss Walker.”

It felt like almost every weekend this month, Ava was going to another party, another Ministry dinner. Not only was she was a busy socialite, but as head of her department, she also had many dinners with Ministry officials to 'shmuse' and butter up so she can get exactly what she wants. Her dress billowed in the wind as she approached the entrance to the club. The security working the venue reached out his hand to stop her to check her name on the guest list, but she brushed him off with a "don't be ridiculous," and walked in.
Walking in, the dance floor was packed and the bar was filled with esteem members of the wizarding world. Ava scanned the room and looked for familiar faces, she recognized some big wigs from the ministry and some quidditch stars. No one of actual standing, they were all newbies, waiting to make a name for themselves. "Triple shot of whiskey over ice," she said, reaching the bar and was met with a very colourful person.
Ava Blackthorn didn't dance but she spotted one of her colleagues from the Love Room, Theodora, over in a velvet booth. Asking for a glass of champagne, she took the drink over to the younger unspeakable.
