The Schraeders are a pureblood family that come from quidditch money; both their father and grandfather played professional quidditch. Their mom is a stay-at-home mom, running the show and planning gatherings. Don’t get them wrong though, they aren’t the cocky arrogant type and live in a modest cottage rather than in a manor on acres of land.
Abram Schraeder The eldest of the Schraeder family, Abram is 30, birth date 06/19/1981 and former Gryffindor/Head Boy. Your resident good-boy Auror, Abe was on track to become a quidditch legacy just like his father, but when his talents in academics took over, he decided that healing was his calling. He only worked a few years in Spell Damage before deciding that he wanted to become an Auror, and that’s where he’s been ever since. Abe works in the missing persons department, helping families and those who hope to find someone that was lost during the war.
LIKES: helping and taking care of other people, learning new things, his siblings, his job, and keeping up appearances. Abe likes old movies, going to the beach, lemonade, dogs, and keeping himself in line.
DISLIKES: Abe doesn't really care for people expecting too much from him. He doesn’t like swimming in the ocean, or the way popcorn gets stuck in his teeth. He works hard but doesn’t like being overworked, and isn't the biggest fan of reading. He doesn’t like being put in a position of doing someone else’s work.
STRENGTHS: Abe is very loyal, charming, and chivalrous. Raised a gentleman, and he’ll always put other’s needs before his own. Abe has a gift for healing spells and thinking quick on his feet. He’s a fast learner, an avid flyer, and a great listener. He’s very open minded and accepting.
WEAKNESSES: Abe is kind of married to his job. He can be too smart for his own good, and sometimes read too far into things. Abe has a habit of talking himself down and can be very hard on himself. Usually always doing the right thing would be a strength, however it has caused some drama before.
Samuel Schraeder Sam is the second oldest Schraeder, 28, birth date 06/02/1983 and former Gryffindor. It had always been in his best effort to be just as good or better than his elder brother, who was champion golden boy, good at everything he set his mind to. Sam worked hard, but never seemed to get the same accolades or attention as his elder brother, and caused him to stop and just live in the shadow. He’s working through his anger issues in his job as a Hit Wizard and finding anew in his rekindled relationship with Keelin Grady.
LIKES: Sam likes to read, take care of other people, and spend time with his siblings (except Abe, honestly). He likes proving himself, being someone people can count on, and going to the movies. Adventures - whether business, professional, or for pleasure. Having fun.
DISLIKES: Art museums, being pushed away, and his anger issues. Abe, sometimes. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Sappy dates, sappy movies, and small talk. When people are completely unrealistic.
STRENGTHS: keeping his word. A romantic. Hardworking, Loyal, and chivalrous. Hyper-focused.
WEAKNESSES: terrible temper & anger issues. Tries but can’t really keep a level head. Hero complex. Can be judgmental, and he tries too hard. Constantly comparing himself to other people.
Paul Schraeder
Paul is the third and final boy. He’s 25, birth date January 21, 1987. Paul is the quietest of the Shcraeder boys, absolutely uninterested in quidditch, and the only one to be sorted into Ravenclaw. Paul thrived in situations where he wasn’t forced to be around people, and in projects and classes where he could work on his own. He likes to take apart muggle technology and put it back together to learn how it works, and doesn’t leave the house much. Charlie likes spending time with Paul because it never feels like a contest with him.
Likes: reading, art, taking things apart and putting them together again, solitude, darkness, girls, not being asked to do things or go out
Dislikes: parties, loud people, competition, going to bed late, quidditch, ham (all meat really, since he is vegetarian but ham especially), having no direction in life
Strengths: healing spells, metalwork, problem solving, romantic (he could write damn good romance poetry if he wanted to), listening, getting things done and accurately.
Weaknesses: does not have a very good speaking voice, gets nervous easily, girls, gets frustrated easily when he can’t figure something out, is not a morning person when he goes to bed too late, is the worst in social situations.
Charlie is the first girl and is 22, birth date 02/15/1990. Charlie is a former Gryffindor, and plays beater for Puddlemere United. She knew she wanted to play professional quidditch the moment that Abe put a beater’s bat into her hand, and has never looked back since. Charlie is confident, smart, and has the temper of a gas-lit flame, but suffers from debilitating anxiety both on and off the pitch. She’s been working through it, but tends to party more than anything to try and quell the anxiety.
LIKES: Her pug Otis, Quidditch, reading, being the center of attention, getting her hair done, cooking, cuddling with a blanket in front of the fireplace, blankets, dogs, glitter.
DISLIKES: People telling her what to do, not knowing what’s coming next, cats, the ocean, frogs, art museums, being put in a teaching position, people who chew with their mouths open.
STRENGTHS: Quidditch, very caring, very good at reading people, creative, helping out when she can, and she’s a surprisingly very good cook.
WEAKNESSES: puts other people above herself, stubborn, cheeky, very anxious, her dog Otis - if anything happened to him she wouldn’t know what to do, academics.
