Ewan Stewart The Stewarts were a long line of Pureblood Scottish witches and wizards hailing from Edinburgh. Ewan's father, Alastair Stewart, was an only child. He and his wife, Freya, had four children; Ewan, Bram, Emily, and Clyde. The Stewarts had a tendency for the Dark Arts and supported both Grindelwald and Lord Voldemort, some of the family members even becoming Death Eaters. Ewan did not agree with their ideology, but was beaten within an inch of his life for expressing this at a young age. He was the only Stewart to become a Gryffindor, much to the chagrin of Alastair and Freya. During his school years, he kept his head down and focused on his studies, including Muggle studies which quickly became his favorite class. When he turned 17 and graduated, the family fortune was bestowed to him. He took the money and fled, moving to Dumfries, Scotland to get away from the family. Once this happened, the rest of the family was outraged, disowned him and scrubbed their lives clean of him. He lived as a Muggle for several years once he was on his own. This is how he met his future wife, Sophie. Ewan was murdered by suspected Death Eaters on July 23, 2011. Before his death, he was working on an article regarding the criminal activity and distribution of pixie dust.
Sophie Stewart The Campbells were your average muggle family from Dumfries, Scotland. Most of the family pursued careers as doctors or lawyers, but not Sophie Campbell. Musically inclined and artistic, she pursued a career as a classical musician specializing in violin. However, it was not the most lucrative of careers at first and she had to work as a waitress to make ends meet. This is how she met Ewan Stewart, at a restaurant she worked at. Eventually, her music career took off and she made it big in Scotland. Sophie had no idea that magic existed until Ewan proposed to her. At first she was shocked and fainted, but after she was entranced by it. They married, had Avery, and raised her for fifteen years until she was murdered alongside of her husband.
Mickey Darling Mickey Darling is a business man and father to Maggie, Tommy, Dane, Roxie, and Gus Darling. Married to Camille Darling. He's in the business of making and distributing pixie dust. He owned the paper company Ewan Stewart worked at and adopted Avery Stewart after her parent's murder.
Camille Darling Camille Darling is the wife to Mickey Darling and mother to the children. She helps package the goods for the business and keeps the younger children busy while Mickey is doing business.
Maggie Darling The domestic Darling with not a whole lot going on. She was married off when she came of age.
Tommy Darling Thomas Napier Darling, 23. Tommy is brilliant to the point of being scary. His mind works insanely fast and he's incredibly resourceful. He makes a rather good living selling knots, pixie dust, and potions that he himself concocted. He's loudly anti creature but at the same time is known for hooking up with vamps and veelas. Killed Gus' hamsters and was instrumental in the death of Ewan and Sophie Stewart, even if this isn't a known fact.
Dane Darling Dane Michael Darling, 21, builds model Quidditch stadiums in bottles. Dane excelled in every facet of his Hogwarts education. Among his accomplishments, Dane was a Slytherin prefect and eventually Head Boy, as well as a professionally scouted Quidditch player. Though Dane was invited to practice with the English National team out of Hogwarts, he followed Mickey's plan for him, joining the Ministry in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement where he is studying to be an Auror. His longterm plan is to get his law degree and win a position on the Wizengamot. Though Dane is the "legitimate" Darling, Mickey's plan has always been to have one of his children on the inside as cover for his business. Mickey plans for Darling to succeed him as head of the business when he retires.
Roxie Darling Roxie Darling, 17, Slytherin. Shes a very loyal friend and honestly a hatstall, as the hat wanted to put her in Ravenclaw but she didnt want to disappoint her father. She’s too smart for her own good, manipulative, and running her own business in hogwarts with William Clay. Mickey doesn’t want her anywhere near running the business, but it just makes her want to run it all the more. Roxie gets along best with Tommy - if any of the Darlings get the business over her she hopes its him. She’s nice enough, but really only when it suits her.
Gus Darling Gus Darling, 16, Gryffindor. He’s sweet as sugar and believes his dad is like willy wonka, not selling pixie dust. He thinks dad’s main hobbies are smoking cigars and playing poker with his friends. Gus really likes guinea pigs and when he was little was told they ran away, but they were really killed by Tommy. Gus dealt with a lot of physical abuse from Tommy, and now just spends most of his time in his room. Gus is hardly capable of running anything, so mickey pawns him off on camille with roxie.

The story of avery darling
Chapter One Avery Lynn Stewart was supposed to be born on the leap year, but arrived twelve hours earlier. She came into this world crying forty-two minutes past midnight. The muggle nurses took her and cleaned her off before handing her to her mother. Sophie Stewart held her baby girl to her bare chest for as long as she could before the nurses came back to take her to the nursery. For years, the Stewarts tried to have children and Sophie was even told by her doctor that it wouldn’t be possible. But there she was with a head full of bright red hair with little fingers and little toes. Ewan and Sophie were in love with the daughter from the moment they found out she existed, but that love only multiplied when she was born. After a few days in the muggle hospital, they were discharged and went home to a large mansion just outside of Dumfries, Scotland.
You see, Ewan Stewart was heir to the Stewart fortune that had been amassed since 1619. When he left the family, he took as much of the money as he could. That combined with the revenue from Sophie’s music career that took off just five years prior allowed them to live a comfortable life in the Scotland country. Avery was fiery from the beginning, but they didn’t care. Their daughter was stubborn, but they felt so blessed to have a daughter to begin with that this never bothered them. They knew that she’d become a strong witch someday.
The first few years of Avery’s life were a blur. She remembers the warmth and the love of her parents, the roses in the garden, the smell of her dad’s cologne, but beyond that there was nothing. It wasn’t until she was three years old that she started to clearly have memories. Her first memory is of her father teaching her to ride a broom. It was a toy broom, of course, but the first one she’s ever been on. He praised her, called her a natural, as she zoomed around their living room just a few feet from the floor. This would become the memory she’d go back to when she casts her patronus. Her next memory would be watching her mother perform in the music room of their mansion. She was entranced by the sound the violin produced as the bow glided across the metal strings. As she grew up, her father would teach her more about Quidditch and flying while her mother taught her how to play the violin she loved so much.
The next year, when she was just four years old, she showed her first signs of magic. Her mother had put her in the chair booster and strapped her in, despite the many protests Ava made. When Sophie had turned around, she found Avery standing in front of her. Again, she took her daughter to the booster and again she escaped. Growing frustrated, Sophie called for her husband to come in. When he did, he witnessed Ava magically levitate herself out of the seat and onto the floor. Ewan was so excited to see his daughter show signs of magic, and so early in her life, that he picked her up and twirled her around. Avery remembers this moment vividly, the smile on his face and the laughter that flowed out of her. Sophie was stunned, but just as ecstatic as Ewan was. With her father being a pureblood, there was almost no doubt in his mind that she’d be magical.
When Avery was five years old, they sent her to muggle primary school, insisting she learn how to live as a muggle before becoming a witch. Magic was a gift, her father taught her, and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Her parents - who showered her in love, affection, and gifts - dressed her in the finest clothes and dropped her off for her first day at school. She made friends rather quickly including a muggle girl named Bonnie Cunningham. Bonnie was a small, mousy girl with long brown hair and plain gray eyes. Avery bonded with her over their love of music. While Avery became popular during her time in primary school, Bonnie was not. She was often picked on by other girls, but Avery was there to defend her each and every time. As they got older, Bonnie started to come into her own. She learned how to defend herself instead of relying on Ava. That long brown hair started to curl and her gray eyes became a brilliant shade of blue. By the time they were both ten years old, Bonnie and Avery became the most popular girls at their school.
Ava almost didn’t go to Hogwarts. Her parents wanted her to go, of course, but Avery was adamant on staying in Dumfries with Bonnie. Once they took her to Diagon Alley, however, she changed her mind. They purchased her robes, her school supplies, and a stunning toyger cat she named Archie. They ended their day eating ice cream at Florean Fortescues and Ava was efficiently obsessed with the wizarding world. The official story she told Bonnie was that she was being sent to a boarding school up north, but would be back for holidays and the summer. Bonnie was saddened by this news, but accepted it for what it was. Ava promised to write to her often and told Bonnie to give all letters to her parents to reach her. The girls said their goodbyes on August 31st as the Stewarts would be boarding the train to London that next morning.
They arrived at Kings Cross with approximately an hour to spare. They ate their lunch together as a family before Ewan took them both through the barrier separating the station to platform 9 ¾ where the Hogwarts Express lay waiting. With Archie and her luggage in hand, Avery said goodbye to her parents and boarded the train. She found a compartment to herself, which quickly filled with other students. Ava greeted the other students, introduced herself, but mostly kept to herself during the train ride to the castle, reading her copy of Pride & Prejudice for the fourth time. When they arrived, she picked up Archie who just snuggled in her arms and exited the train. A very tall, very large, and very hairy man greeted them just on the platform. Avery had watched as the older students walked past, goofing off as they made their way to horseless carriages. The man spoke in a gruff voice, instructing them to follow him to the Great Lake.
She had seen pictures of Hogwarts from her father’s photo albums, but it was nothing compared to seeing it in person for the first time. The moon was full and illuminated the castle and its grounds, reflecting off the still lake. Ava was mesmerized by the sight. They boarded the boats, Avery being seated with a mousy girl and a snowy haired boy, and were transported magically across the lake. Her eyes never left the castle as they made their way. They arrived at the boathouse, exited the boats, and were led up the steps to the castle.
Before long, they were given a speech on how their house will become their family, the different houses and the rules of Hogwarts. She listened intently, still holding onto her cat, before the witch led them into a large dining hall. Everyone else was already seated at the four long tables, but they weren’t led to one of the tables. Oh, she had thought, this must be the Sorting. Her father had told her about the Sorting Ceremony. They crowded together at the front of the room, looking at a stool with a dirty old hat on top of it. One by one, the students were called to the front. Avery watched as, one by one, the students were sorted into their houses. “Cox, Raelynn!” The mousy girl from the boat made her way to the stool. “GRYFFINDOR!” That was the house her father was in. The girl, Raelynn, ran off to sit at the table with the other Gryffindors.
After what felt like hours, she finally heard as clear as a bell, “Stewart, Avery!” Nerves overcame her, but she swallowed them down as she stepped forward, sitting on the stool. The witch placed the hat on her head and immediately its voice filled her head. “Hmmm,” it hummed. “Great mind, lots of talent, brash…” That’s all it said before it called out loud, “GRYFFINDOR!” A sigh of relief flowed out of her, the hat taken off her head, and she ran to sit beside Raelynn. Once “Williams, Leopold” had been sorted into Slytherin, the Headmistress rose from her seat to greet them all with yet another speech. At the end of it, the feast began. Avery watched with wonder as food appeared in front of them. She looked to Raelynn. “Hi, I’m Ava,” she greeted the witch. A bright smile was what she received in return. “I’m Rae.” And thus began her first friendship at Hogwarts.

avery's wandpine, phoenix tail feather, 11 & 1/16”, sturdyThe straight-grained pine wand always chooses an independent, individual master who may be perceived as a loner, intriguing and perhaps mysterious. Pine wands enjoy being used creatively, and unlike some others, will adapt unprotestingly to new methods and spells. Many wandmakers insist that pine wands are able to detect, and perform best for, owners who are destined for long lives, and I can confirm this in as much as I have never personally known the master of a pine wand to die young. The pine wand is one of those that is most sensitive to non-verbal magic.
This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike. Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won.

ArchieArchie is a five year old Toyger cat belonging to Avery Stewart Darling. Ewan and Sophie Stewart bought the cat at the Emporium located in Diagon Alley the summer going into Ava's first year at Hogwarts. Archie is a loving and mischievous cat with a big personality. He's rather attached to Avery, spending all of his time following her around or sitting in her lap. Archie is friendly with other cats, animals, and other witches and wizards.
As the muscular Toyger slinks through your living room, it would be easy to imagine that he is truly a tiger cub. A tiger cub that won’t grow up to eat you. The Toyger has a sweet, calm personality and is generally friendly. He’s outgoing enough to walk on a leash, energetic enough to play fetch and other interactive games, and confident enough to get along with other cats and friendly dogs.
