Life was slower now. Last year…Leo would have been sneaking around doing Allman’s bidding. Or he would have been cuddled up with Olivia. But Allman was in the custody of the Ministry and Liv was off playing Quidditch. Leo still had Andi and Gia. But they all seemed to have down time at different times.
So for now, Leo was just sitting on his own on a sofa in the common room. His DADA book was open on his lap and he was lazily reading it, occasionally twirling his wand to turn the page. He’d gotten good at some nonverbal spells…but not wandless. Not yet.
He wasn’t sure where Andi or Gia was tonight. But if he had to guess, they were both probably out past curfew. Good for them. Live it up. The common room had pretty much emptied out by now and Leo raised his wrist to check his watch.
It was much later than he expected.
He sighed and closed his book, about to stand up to head to his dorm room. But the opening of the door caught his attention and at a familiar sight of blonde hair, he smirked.
”Well hello there.”

Gia took off as soon as she pushed Sunny away. She dove for the ground and thankfully he didn't chase after her, so she was able to grab her bag and her broom and take off into an almost sprint back to the castle. Initially she wanted to shower but before she could even make it back to her dorm to drop off her broom, she was met by a familiar head of blond hair in the common room.
“Well hello there.”
Gia, physically flushed (which was pretty uncommon for her), tried to brush Leo off. ”Hey, I'm…going to hit the shower,” her eyes weren't tracking the situation; they were averted and kind of watching the floor. She wasn't sure what Sunny did to her, but she wasn't sure she liked it at all. Oh course, everyone but Gia would know she liked it…she'd just need a little more convincing.
Sunny was…something else. Confident, if nothing else. But he was also talented, mysterious, and god was he handsome, too. Gia wouldn't admit it aloud though…but unfortunately of anyone could see right through her, it was her friend standing right in front of her.

Gia looked...very un-Gia-like. She seemed flustered and a tad disheveled. As she tried to brush past him, Leo reached out to stop her, the small smirk on his lips flickering. This was more than just Gia being in a mood.
"Nah, nah, nah...not yet..."
He took her hand and pulled her with him to the couch, sitting her with him before letting his eyes observe her. Nothing inappropriate, Leo would never. Just...making sure his friend was okay. No bumps, bruises, no signs of hexes...
So what was the issue?
"What's going on Miss Jones?"
He leaned back on the couch, watching his friend carefully.

Of course Leo could see right through her. She should have known as soon as she saw his head of blonde hair she should have ducked back out of there and into the showers first. But…she didn't. Perhaps part of her wanted someone to talk to.
“Nah, nah, nah…not yet.”
Leo led her to the sofa and she rolled her eyes as she followed him, groaning audibly. She leaned her broom against the sofa and sat down with a slight flop as he looked at her. She gazed right back with a raised brow. ”I'm fine,” she assured him with a nod. ”Can I go back now?” she asked, but it seemed Leo had other plans.
“What's going in Miss Jones?”
Gia watched him through careful green eyes before rolling them, again, and sighing. ”My night flight was interrupted,” she started. That was the truth. The next part she said so quickly that it would be up to Ky if Leo understood as she fiddled with her ponytail - ”and I kissed Sunny Park.”

Leo watched his friend curiously as she objected, stating she was fine and expressing her desire to leave. That just made him more suspicious. It was like her to run from everyone else…but him?
So when he asked about it…
And he heard her answer (barely)…
Leo just stared at her a moment, letting the words unjumble and sink in. His lips curled into an amused smirk and he chuckled.
”The broody boy that just moved here? Mr Untouchable?”
Leo grinned and nudged his friend.
”Oh my god…did you like it?”
He looked at her for a moment before letting his mind slip under the folds of her own, feeling around a bit before he found the emotions she would no doubt lie to him about and he gasped, slapping the sofa and pulling back out of her head.
”Oh my god, you did!”

Of course Leo found the whole thing amusing. Mr. Untouchable. Has that been what people were calling him? He didn't seem that untouchable to her…just perhaps a little misunderstood. She was sure she would be rather broody if she'd just lost her parents over the summer, too, and she wasn't even that close with them.
“Oh my god…did you like it?”
”No,” her answer was quick…too quick. Within moments she felt the familiar sensation of intrusion in her mind, surely as Leo picked through her memories to find the exact moment. The way Sunny’s fingers trailed on her skin. The way she grabbed him by the collar. The way her expression softened for just a moment until she realized what she was doing and shoved him off.
“Oh my god, you did!”
”I really hate you sometimes,” she scoffed, whacking his arm with the back of her hand. ”No need to explain I suppose…you probably saw everything…” Gia felt her cheeks flush.

No.
The answer was too fast. Leo wasn't buying it. And as he delved into his friend's mind, he saw all he needed to see. He felt all he needed to feel. And as he slipped back into his own mind, he grinned cheekily at the blonde. She most certainly had enjoyed it.
I really hate you sometimes.
Leo couldn't help but laugh at the comment. He knew the sentiment was quite the opposite. For so long it had been him, Gia, and Andi against the world. Jeff and Little Jimmy had been there. And while Jimmy was a good guy and Leo still spoke with him, Jeff...had wound up being a scum bag.
But his friendship with Gia and Andi had always been solid and strong.
"I think this could be good for you," he offered with a wink. "If you're interested, obviously the guy has to have something remarkable about him."

Gia generally didn't mind if Leo used his legillimens on her. Usually, there wasn't much to see. This, however, was the first time she felt a little nervous or unsettled about it…she'd never shown interest in anyone before this, and even though she was in denial face forward, Leo could feel what she felt…and there was no denying that…
“I think this could be good for you.”
”How?” her tone was very bitey.
“If you're interested, obviously the guy has to have something remarkable about him.”
Gia didn't say anything for a moment, sighing as she sat staring the fire. ”What am I supposed to do?? I don't…do this sort of thing,” Gia looked at Leo finally, chewing the inside of her lip. ”I spent my entire time here avoiding this exact situation.”
