During the interim period, Molly had downed two glasses of champagne. She was determined to have a good time. Things had been so depressing lately. Her and Abe weren't really seeing eye to eye on the whole Vader front, she had to turn in Tommy to the ministry, and to top it all off...Kate was really getting on her nerves lately. The only good thing that had happened was her Taco Bell trip with Merry. There was plenty to drink about this evening and she wasn't about to hold back.
Now, what we all have to understand here is that Molly has enemies, lots of them. So, when a voice comes up behind her unexpectedly, well...she wasn't one of the best Aurors the Ministry had for nothing. Molly reached behind and grabbed the arm of the voice, swung the person around to her front, just to bring her other hand up to grab their neck and shove it downward as she straightened her arm. (JC can't explain it well but she's trying)."Tommy?" Molly released her grip on him. "I-I thought you were in Azkaban."
If she was of sound mind and body, surely her reaction would have been different but she was quite tipsy. Molly looked down at the glass and champagne all over the floor with a pout, "my drink." It was very low on the priority list but to the Aurora, it was everything.

The way that Molly reacted and grabbed him was…incredibly attractive. And when she let him go, his name rolling off her tongue so perfectly, Tommy couldn’t help but grin. How she hadn’t heard was beyond him but he was kind of glad she hadn’t. Tommy had just assumed his arresting officer would have been kept in the loop.
But his opinion of the ministry already wasn’t very high. It didn’t phase him at all to hear she hadn’t been told.
”Released. The court made their decision two days ago.”
An adorable little pout placed itself on her lips and Tommy chuckled as she whined about her drink. He stepped closer to her and gazed down, his smirk resting on his features.
”We can fight the crowd at the bar for another…or you can just come with me to the Darling Enterprises VIP booth and indulge in our wines and champagne…up to you, Gorgeous.”
He shot her a wink as he waited for her decision.

Yes Molly had brought in Tommy Darling and assisted on the Allman case, but she had asked anyone related to his case, except Saff who she didn't want to get in trouble for telling her things, for information but no one would talk. The blonde suspected that someone must have seen her involuntary reaction to when she brought Tommy in, the tears running down her face as they hauled him away to Azkaban, and decided she was too close to the situation. So, it was no surprise that no one alerted her to his release. She was happy to keep her head down, knowing how things went for Abe...she was not looking for a repeat.
But here he was, grinning down at her. So tall and handsome. Molly smiled back, a tipsy smile that didn't usually show up when dealing with Tommy Darling. "Well, I'm glad you're out," she said as he stepped closer to her and she had to look higher.
Gorgeous. She liked when he called her that. The bar would be the easy choice, but going back to the booth with Tommy, that was asking for trouble...maybe even a little danger. However, Molly was never scared of a little danger, she was danger herself. "You said you have champagne?" she teased a bit as she nodded towards the Darling booth.

Gods, that smile. Tommy wasn't sure what it did to him, but it certainly did something to him. Something he wasn't fully ready to admit out loud yet. For now, he was entirely able to just tell Roxie and Mona that he was just enjoying the challenging chase that Molly made him run to get to her. He always had loved a challenge. And truthfully, that was how this had all started. Molly was always that girl. It had taken him ages to get her to even look twice at him. He wasn't about to slow that momentum now. But somewhere in the haze of competition, the lines had gotten blurred.
And now?
Now, Tommy would make anyone who harmed a single hair on her head disappear.
Well, I'm glad you're out.
As she asked about the champagned and moved toward his family business' section, he just smirked and let out a small chuckle as he followed her. Guiding her to a plush couch with a few tables around them, Tommy motioned for the young girl who was working their area to get them two glasses of champagne. And when she returned, Tommy took them both and handed one over to Molly.
"Are you having fun tonight?"
He allowed his eyes to run over her before tilting his head slightly and adding on another small sentiment.
"Red truly is your color..."

Heading towards the booth, Molly didn't dare look back. She was already fighting the feelings that kept popping up whenever Tommy did. It was aggravating to say the least but those thoughts were far in the back of her tipsy little mind, now, she didn't have a care in the world. As they reached the booth, Tommy summoned one of the bartenders to grab champagne. Passing them first to Tommy, who then passed one on to her. She took it carefully, accidentally brushing her fingers against his. "Thank you. I am," she said as she sipped from her flute flaming the fire that was her drunken state.
"I only got here a bit ago but it's been great...lots of important people mulling about." Molly let her eyes sweep the crowd. Ministry, Quidditch Players, and so many more. She sometimes wondered if she was meant to be invited to things like this. "Are you having fun?"
The blonde was used to Tommy by now, so when she watched his eyes drift down her body, she couldn't help but playfully roll her eyes. "Subtlety was never your strong suit, Darling. But you look very nice this evening too." She was trying to keep her compliments minimal, so as to not give herself away. Was it working?

Tommy may not have been subtle...but he was a good date. No one could dispute that. The man spared no expense on the women he courted and he always made them feel like they were the most special woman in the world...even if they weren't. But with Molly it was a tad different. She was a cut or two above the usual dame.
She commented on the "important people" mulling about and Tommy smirked. Since his father's passing and his inheritance of the business...he was also one of those important people. Darling Enterprises did a lot of Ministry funding...they were certainly a family the government tried to keep happy. So as she asked if he was having fun, Tommy just nodded as he sipped at his beverage. He was certainly having a bit more fun now that he was in the company of a genuine ten.
Subtlety was never your strong suit, Darling. But you look very nice this evening too.
A small smile cracked his features and he shot her a wink.
"Thank you," he offered simply as his eyes stayed trained on her. It had been a while since he'd been able to just have a good time with Molly Walker. Perhaps tonight would be a good one. Besides...he'd heard of her reaction after turning him in. Perhaps there was some latent feelings there that could be explored once she'd had enough champagne to break her wall down a bit.
"Let me know if you need more...there's plenty."
He raised his glass to her, his teasing smirk dancing on his lips.
"So tell me something good, Walker...I've been a tad out of the loop lately."

Readjusting her dress with her free hand, Molly shuffled in her seat. It had been quite a bit of time since that day in the Castle Darling office. How the words; I killed Mickey Darling had haunted her thoughts for so long. But now here he was, standing before her sipping on a cocktail in a suit, like nothing happened. With a good amount of champagne in her, it was hard to keep her thoughts to herself. "Was Azkaban awful?" She couldn't hold it back, as much as she hated it...she worried for him. Molly swished her drink around in the flute, she felt bad bringing up such a sore subject at a party but she had to know.
It was useless trying to hide anything when you work at the Ministry, everyone always heard everything. At least now she was in the same boat with Abe, they could handle the gossip together. Gods she hated that she couldn't hold back her tears as they hauled Tommy away that day. Downing the last of her glass at the thought, she politely motioned for another from the girl working. Soon a full glass was back in her hand as she returned her attention to Tommy.
"Hmmm, I think Puddlemere is going to take the cup this year?" What was there that was new? Molly never got out. The girl was constantly working or hanging with Abe or Merry... "Oh Merry and I went to Taco Bell the other day, it was pretty good. Have you been?" The blonde knew the answer already but this was all that was new to her. She stopped hearing important shit from the Ministry, and so did Abe. They were "too close to the subjects at hand. First praise and then shunning... typical Minisry shit.

Was Azkaban awful?
Tommy's signature smirk faltered and if Molly were paying attention, for half a second, she might have seen his expression soften. She...cared? How strange. No one else had asked him anything about the days he had spent in that dreadful place. But Molly did. He felt a strange feeling in his heart but he quickly placed his mask back on, gazing at her softly.
"It...is no place I would like to go back to anytime soon," he admitted before taking another sip of his drink.
Tommy watched the blonde order up another drink and he listened to her as she talked about Quidditch. Puddlemere taking the cup? Interesting, given the filthy mutt they had allowed in their ranks. Tommy...wasn't shy about his opinion of werewolves. They were good for nothing creatures...tainted and cast aside. The idea of one playing in the pros, let alone on one of the most prestigious teams? What was Puddlemere thinking? It had to be one bizarre ass PR stunt.
But then she went on about going to "Taco Bell" with Merry...Merry, he believed was Molly's brother. But Taco Bell? He wasn't sure what that was.
"What is a Taco Bell?" he asked with an amused grin, polishing off his beverage and setting the empty glass aside. He leaned his arm on the back off the couch, leaning in slightly to listen to Molly as she talked. Gods, if he didn't know himself better, he would say he was actually interested in what she was saying...not just listening to try and get into her pants...

If Molly hadn't been a few glasses deep into the champagne, she might have noticed the faltered smile in Thomas, but alas, she did not. It was the alcohol surely, but that was a childish answer. There was no hiding it after her major slip up at the Ministry. That day had been one of the hardest days of her life and it bloody well showed. His gaze was soft as he answered, Molly had only been to Azkaban a handful of times and that was on the good side of the bars, she couldn't imagine how it must be like for them on the other side. Granted some were mass murders and true villains, but Thomas? Molly couldn't place him in that category. She matched his gaze as she spoke, "I'm just glad you're out. That was...that was a really hard day."
She couldn't believe it had been that long, almost half a year. The new glass of champagne arrived to the table and Molly took it gratefully from the waitress. She had been blabbering on about stupid things and she knew sober Molly would be super embarrassed in the morning but for now, that didn't matter. "Taco Bell...well I guess the first question is...do you know what a taco is?" She grinned, it was funny dealing with purebloods. Although she was a half blood, Molly's dad was a muggle and was adamant on them having a foot in each world.
Molly's eyes flickered quickly to where Thomas' arm rested and noted as he leaned in slightly. They were an odd pair and there was no way in hell that they should work so well together but they did.
