OTHER IMPORTANT FAMILY:
HISTORY:Voss' family name came from a long line of wizards in Germany. Victor Voss was a wizard and became a writer after pursuing his study in London in 1997. Fate met him with the love of his life, Bellona Constante, a ballerina / actress when he was watching a performance in a play. The two had their first child, Valerie Ivory Voss. Bellona had a hope that Val would follow her steps to become a ballet dancer one day, and perhaps became a star for the family meanwhile Victor didn’t mind his wife’s ambition and was happy for the family he had.
Val was sent to a ballet school at a very young age by her mother. As a five year old, she cried out loud once her mother was out of her sight. Hearing the news from the teacher, her mother scolded young Val for embarrassing her and smudged her name when she cried. Bellona was tough on her child especially regarding ballet. Val had to learn to love dancing to fulfil her mother’s wishes.
When she was six years old, Bellona gave birth to another girl, Maryssa Ernst Voss. Val was excited to have a younger sister, and loved her dearly. But as a child, she soon felt that the love from her parents were poured solely to her newborn sister. Jealousy soon developed into Val’s heart and one day, she bursted out when her parents didn’t listen to what she had to say. The outburst caused the coffee cup to explode by magic and her parents finally turned their attention to her. Their expressions were angry at first but then Victor’s lip curled into a smile, confusing the six year old Val in the hallway.
“You’ve got it! I knew you got it.” Cried her father as she brought her daughter up and down cheerily.
“What is it daddy? What did I do?” Val asked, screaming mixed with giggles as she was carried by her father who seemed excited about something she did. But to what she did, she had no idea. All she could think of was did she break the coffee cup on the table by magic?
Victor put down his daughter and knelt to the floor, looking straight into her eyes. “Zauber. Magic. You have it in you. When you reach eleven years old, you’re going to go somewhere, daughter. To a magic school!” His eyes wildered as he said magic school. Young Val looked at her father puzzled, but afterward, her questions were answered as Victor told her everything she needed to know of the wizarding world and its existence.
When she finally turned eleven years old, she received the Acceptance Letter from Hogwarts as expected. Victor and his family brought them back to Germany to get her first wand. As a family tradition, every Voss wizards and witches had to get their wand in Europe, whereas her father told her, ‘better’ materials of wands and cores could be obtained. There, her cherry wand chose her as she bought her first wand.
Then, she went to Hogwarts as a student. Despite having most time of the year in Ilvermorny, her schedule was packed with the never ending ballet school she had to go to during the school break. This lovely character is being played by Aryssa! ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
It was a sunny Sunday morning, the ray of sunlight beamed through the windows, kissing the fair skin of Val. Her eyelids fluttered opened as a soft groan escaped her lips, a relieving stretch soon followed after. Val brushed her eyelids before she got up, still sitting on her bed with the sheet covering her legs. 'Sunday fun day, no class,' she thought silently. But it was still the worst day of the weekends. The final day of the short weekends before she had to face the routine of waking up early to ensure that she got a spot in the showers. A slow sigh, she then shook the thought away and went to take a bath to start her day.
After wearing her dress, she towel dried her hair before grabbing a novel with her. She carried it in her arms as she walked to the Great Hall for breakfast. Reaching the Great Hall, she took a seat at the Hufflepuff table, beginning to eat her cereals. Crunchy sounds of her chewing her breakfast alone as she read the novel in one hand. Reading while eating was a habit of hers, especially now that she was in school with little time to spare for her freetime except the weekends.
Deep in the read, she startled as she thought someone was calling her, or spoke to her. Looking up from her novel, with the final swallow of her breakfast, she smiled sheepishly. "Apology, you said something?" With an eyebrow arched, she asked the question.
