This year was turning out to be a great one! Rory was back on the pitch, with his own brother joining the team, and they won their first game of the season. Life could not be better for the lion. Well, maybe if he caught the eye of a certain Hufflepuff… Okay, so it could get slightly better but as it was life was pretty good. Rae had really come into her own this year. Gus left some pretty big shoes to fill, but his friend has really stepped up to the challenge. The teamwork they had on the pitch was unrivaled. Schoolwork hadn’t been as bad as he’d been expecting, either. Seventh year was still demanding, but he found himself getting into the groove of things rather easily. The only issue was that he still didn’t know what he wanted to do when he graduated. He’d been kind of avoiding thinking about it. Once he graduated his brother would be alone at Hogwarts. Rory had always been his protector, but after this year he’d be off to do his own thing. He’d just have to help Aflie gain some confidence this year. It seemed that Quidditch was already helping his brother in that aspect. [break][break]
Herbology was a bit of a drag today. Nothing against Professor Chandler, she had this passion for plants that was inspiring, but he just didn’t have an interest in the subject. They were working on Bubotubers which was just… gross. Bubotuber pus was good for a lot of things, but it smelled god awful. The scent still lingered in his nose as he left the greenhouses and made his way to the Great Hall. Dinner was fast approaching and his stomach was starting to growl. Idly, he wondered what the house elves were cooking up this evening. His mind was quite preoccupied with it as he wandered down the corridors. Rory hadn’t been paying attention to his surroundings and bumped into something solid. “Oy!” he exclaimed, though the fault was clearly his. “Watch where you’re go - Ophelia!” Heat rushed to his cheeks as he recognized the small figure he had knocked down. “My bad.” He reached out a hand to help her up. “Sorry I was - where’s Lydia?” He looked around for her friend. You never really saw one without the other. Rory felt a bit embarrassed that he was acting like a bloody idiot, especially in front of Lydia’s best mate.
