The past couple months had been...odd, to say the least.
Willie had spent too many months under the hazy and rather screwed up thumb of Jeff Monier. The bloody coward had been steadily dosing her with love potions, living under her roof, and having his way with her. All of it was a lot to come to terms with...but the worst of it had to be the fact that her own best friend had been nowhere around to help her.
Of course, she had Julian and Georgia to thank for having her freedom back and she was eternally grateful to them for the measures they took to free her. But it heavily stung that her best friend had been nowhere to be found. Choosing instead to wallow in his own pity instead of stopping the heinous acts that had been committed against her.
Julian and Georgia had been a god send though...both of them making sure to check on her probably more than she actually needed once freed. But in true Vanderhyde style, the Puddlemere Keeper wasn't about to let them see how it all had affected her.
But now...
Alone in her home...
Wilhelmina was able to just let it go. Clinging to several different objects...each of them that should have their own scent...she fought tears as she desperately sniffed them...only able to smell the stench of Jeff all over everything. She had been very proficient in her studies. She knew well that the effects would fade in time and everything would go back to normal. But for now, it was all a steady reminder of the choices that had been stolen from her for too long.
And as the dam finally broke, the tears poured hot and heavy down her face. Letting out an angry and frustrated scream, Willie threw the items down on the floor and stormed back to her room. Her bags were spread over her bed and she sobbed as she continued packing...readying herself for a training summit that the team was sending her to.
Perhaps getting away for a month or two would be good for her.
She finished up and waved her wand, sending her bags ahead of her before looking around. A look of disgust covered her face as she ripped the sheets off of her bed...her stomach turning violently within her.
Leaving a note for her cleaning lady to get rid of the bed and replace it, she summoned her broom and kicked off. As the wind rippled through her hair, she steeled herself...tears drying a perfect poker face settling in as she headed off to train for the rest of her life.
