It's a cold and blustery one today, folks - get your hats and scarves ready! Professor Quinn is up in the air, waving on Captain Quinn and the Ravenclaws, and Captain Carson with her Hufflepuffs. From what I've seen, both teams have been working their absolute bums off to prepare for this match… but we'll have to see; are those "donated" Quinn SuperNovas enough to keep Ravenclaw on their winning streak, or is Hufflepuff going to get the gold this year? Well, we're about to find out - the coin has been flipped and off Carson goes with the quaffle, barrel rolling under Harrison as he belts the first bludger toward her.

James and Harrison are on Carson's tail as she tucks the quaffle in, Park and Harris on her flanks. Even without a SuperNova, she still kicks some serious a… sorry Professor. She's zipping down the pitch, and the chemistry between her and Park isn't just off the pitch; it's almost like they're reading each other's minds as the flip the quaffle back and forth with them and Harris, while the other Park brother - I'll just call them by their first names - whips a bludger toward Duffy and snags her shoulder with it just as she tries to snatch the quaffle from under Harris. Oi, hope she's alright! No motion from James to see if she's alright as she spins out, his arm wailing back to send a bludger to Carson just as she tosses the quaffle straight through the left hand hoop. 10 points to Hufflepuff! Professor Quinn takes this moment to check on Duffy, but she seems alright. Good thing, too - shame to lose a chaser so early in the match.

Hemlock throws the quaffle back out, noticeably thrown off - but that all happened so quick! Looks like he’s back on his game, hovering in front of the posts as Lambert whooshes off down the pitch with Duffy and Prince on her tail - the bludger hit not seeming to affect Duffy too much as she flies shoulder to shoulder with Bo, the ‘Puff trying to edge his way into Lambert’s reach - wait, was that a distraction?! Harris ducks under Lambert, snatching the quaffle from her and zipping back down toward the Hufflepuff goal posts! This is wild - Hufflepuff fans are absolutely roaring out here! But the excitement is short lived as a pass is intercepted by Prince, the Raven whipping the ball right past Cappello’s head. Ten points to Ravenclaw! High fives all around from the girls. The seekers are still hovering up high - no sign of the snitch yet, ladies’ and gentlemen.

Cappello’s got the quaffle out and to Bo, followed by Nico and Outhouse, snatches it out of the air and zooms down the pitch, avoiding a well-aimed bludger shot by Harrison, and knocked back toward the Raven by Outhouse. Who knew that guy could even play?! Anyway - looks like Quinn might have spotted the snitch as she dives, followed closely by Donoghue, but it must have been a distraction tactic as she flies back up, leaving Donoghue in the direct line of another bludger, this time knocked by James. She’s observant, that one, and dodges just as Duffy intercepts the quaffle from Bo… what’s that? Are they attempting the Thimblerig Shuffle? C’mon, guys - is that all you - wait, they’re actually really good at that. I’ve misplaced the quaffle myself and - oh! - Ten points to Ravenclaw as Duffy whips it through the post furthest from Cappello - he must have lost track of the ball, too.

Cappello barely had the quaffle out before Carson had it in her grasp. Her motivation is totally there - she wants this win, and the whole crowd can feel it! Who needs scarves and hats when you have this kind of energy! The blonde bomber flies behind Nico and in front of Outhouse, who just barely leaves his train to knock a bludger toward Harrison and distract him from aiming toward their chaser. Harrison is quick, though, and as if planned, bunts the bludger toward James, who launches it flawlessly toward the trio. Outhouse must have been distracted as his beater’s bat nearly nicks Carson from behind in attempt to block, causing her to fumble… but she rolls and redeems herself, making a save by tossing the quaffle to Bo, who… must not have been expecting Duffy to tackle him, because she was on him like soy sauce on rice and before you know it, she’s passing to Lambert, who knocks the quaffle into the posts. Another ten points to Ravenclaw!

Hopefully they’ll see the snitch soon - I can see a little bit of agitation between Quinn and Donoghue, both seekers hovering the pitch. I wonder how many of the players today are looking to play professionally after graduation. I don’t see any scouts in the stands, but then again, I would never admit to rubbing elbows with the big leagues - anyway - what’s that? Did Duffy just grab Harrison’s bat?! Her left hand swings and belts a bludger toward Ethan Harris, who seemingly has the quaffle at the moment, narrowly missing the handle of his broom. Man, can’t imagine how he’d spin out if she’d hit it! I wonder what flew up her uniform to take Harrison’s bat - the beater clearly irritated as he snatches it back from her, the Ravenclaw zooming off to catch the quaffle as Prince, from underneath, punches it out of Harris’ grasp and up into Duffy’s arms. Looks like they got another one in the bag, folks - another ten points to Ravenclaw.

My box is absolutely buzzing! Cera and Lauren are up here - never thought I’d see you two in the commentator’s box, but then again, I don’t usually commentate! Louie is around here somewhere; boy’s gotta watch his girl kick some… perfectly shaped booty. Which is exactly what she’s doing, passing the quaffle between herself, Bo, and Harris. Duffy is nodding to Prince as the two swoop down to sandwich her between them and they sway a bit. Carson attempts to pass, but instead… wait... did she just drop the quaffle?? Lambert is right there to scoop it up but not before Bo, who must have known it was coming and smoothly snatched it from her hands and zipped off toward the posts, whipping the ball right into Hemlock’s grasp. That was a close one - but instead of letting Hemlock pass to one of his chasers, Bo intercepts and this time, skillfully, knocks that quaffle right into the hoop! Yes, that means ten points to Hufflepuff, folks, you heard me right! We aren’t damning them yet - remember, the snitch is worth one hundred and fifty points, and in Donoghue’s hands, Hufflepuff could win this match.

Prince was right there to grab the quaffle from Hemlock - he sure had some crazy big shoes to fill thanks to Vanderhyde, but I think he’s doing alright! Both keepers are working their bums off today - surely this has to be something equal to what Cappello’s wife gives him in the… sorry Professor. Speaking of, he snags the quaffle out of the air in a well-timed pass from Lambert to Duffy, and tosses it out to Harris who flies down the pitch, closely followed by Carson and Bo. They are really balanced this year, and it’s great to see. We have so much talent on the pitch every match and it’s a shame to see it go when graduation rolls around. But that just opens up new slots for new faces ready to kick some serious quidditch… buns! Carson is there directing her team and they all seem to be on the same page as they form a v formation - Park shoots the quaffle toward the posts. Hemlock snags it in midair - this time actually succeeding in passing to Lambert as the sixth year turns the game back to Ravenclaw. Cappello is ready, but as the pass goes from Lambert to Duffy to Prince, he isn’t prepared for a bludger that zips right past his head - bet he felt a breeze on that one! - and distracts him from another ten points to Ravenclaw, a perfect shot by Layla Lambert.

Harris has the quaffle this time, and Hufflepuff seems to be trying something new as they fly three in a row, the beaters on either side of them. Duffy attempts from underneath, but they split just in time for her to fly right between them, a noticeable scowl on her lips as she zips toward Harris, who expertly passes to Bo. The sixth year Park - is he the sixth year Park? There are so many of them it’s hard to keep track! - Hufflepuff seems to be aiming to get Duffy out of the match as a bludger hits the handle of her SuperNova, the connection louder than the snap between James and Duffy’s relationship. Oop - head in the game Duffy, I’m just commentating!
Good thing that rift hasn’t caused any hard feelings between teammates - despite the probable tension Prince manages to get the quaffle past Cappello’s grasp once again for another ten points to Ravenclaw!

No need for any Felix Felices for this match, Quinn - I guess the SuperNovas were the only lucky charms you needed! Ravenclaw is on the quaffle again, Cappello hovering impatiently as he awaits the impending shot, which, he inevitably blocks. Hufflepuff is absolutely at the edge of their seats - but to be honest, we all are. This is only the second match of the season and it’s still anyone’s cup! I’m keeping my eye on the seekers, as they both seem to be lowering their stances as the game edges on, Bo intercepting a pass between Lambert and Prince, and Prince managing to snag the quaffle right back for another well-timed shot that ends up, you guessed it, blocked by Cappello. He just needed the first half of the match to warm up, I guess! But not on Duffy’s watch - girl is an absolute firecracker today as she waits for James’ bludger as a distraction before barrel rolling and tossing - and making! - the shot into the furthest hoop from Cappello. That’s it, ladies and gentlemen, another ten to Ravenclaw.

See that’s the thing about Hufflepuff that I love. Ravenclaw is absolutely dominating so far, seventy to twenty, but their positivity is absolutely contagious! If anyone gets an E for spirit, it’s Hufflepuff, and it’s only escalating as Carson has the quaffle again, Nico belting a bludger toward Prince who narrowly dodges it as she dips down in attempt to tackle the ‘Puff, who passes the quaffle to Harris, and then to Bo. Emma is hovering nearby; I can’t decide who to keep my eyes on - the seekers, who have CLEARLY SPOTTED THE SNITCH, or the Hufflepuff chasers who are flying so fast and thimblerig-shuffle-y that they are able to score another ten points! That’s Ravenclaw, seventy, and Hufflepuff thirty! But like I said, Donoghue, who is currently a good broom’s length in front of Quinn, could win this for Hufflepuff. For the sake of the positive energy…

Quinn is edging up next to Donoghue, and the two seem to be neck and neck. Honestly, I don’t know how seekers do it - the skill! The focus! They have to have a downright attention to detail to rival Professor Davis’ and his woodcarvings to be able to catch that ball. It’s smaller than my fist, and faster than my sister after I give her a noogie, and that’s pretty impressive. I hope you guys have your eyes on the prize, folks - I see blue and yellow robes dipping down into the barracks of the stands and they’re coming uhhhhh - holy merlin, how did they even get up here this fast! I had to duck, and missed how Donoghue got back in the lead - perhaps it was a well-timed bludger sent by Nico that almost took off my head just as they flew past, or Harrison right out of the corner of Quinn’s eye as he blocked the bludger from slamming into her ribcage. But that doesn’t matter now. I can see the snitch, and it’s right… there... Quinn’s got her hand outstretched, and Donoghue is a finger's breadth away……. But one last duck and kick off from her SuperNova and that snitch belongs to Ravenclaw. You heard it here, folks - Stella Quinn, in her final year as Ravenclaw’s captain, has captured the golden snitch leaving the score two-hundred and twenty to thirty as Ravenclaw edges up next to Gryffindor with the second win of the season.
Congrats, guys! Well played!
